All of us I ask you travelers, are your dreams still pure?

Is the time of the year again uh? well let's start unwrapping what I did for newgrounds and my artistic/design career for whole of the characters remaining I have to yap, uh yeah an introduction, well if you happened to find this reading I'm phaox05 a graphic design student from Ecuador who wants to share its ideas to the world, maybe a little too focus centered in my dreams of becoming an artist/designer for videogames and media but also kinda lazy that I just start tryharding on games telling people that I'm getting inspired with it (it's true tho), well too much for me let's get this started.

Janaiaduary

Not much to add for this month as it was the time where finals exams came by and it makes everyone stay focused on getting that glorious AP, not much after that I decided to make an illustration with background experimentation based on a decoration I have in my house.

Ah yes sketch collab 2023 hosted by @midgetsausage also was posted this month even though it says 2023, that's why I didn't participated in this year's sketch collab xp

February of lovers

I'm sing- but that doesn't stop me for working on romantic art, well the design was kind of poor ngl, Psyca's face is kind of strange but it made a cute addition for the valentines day art collab hosted by @loopykins

I also made some funny stickers for a friend and the club I'm in, they sold very well during the time I started selling stickers at my university, maybe I'll start making more themed ones and get money with it.

Shrimp march

Being sincere I was being lazy during vacations, I'll try to work more on designs and art but at least I worked with a social media post from my university for a shrimp post (didn't like most of the drawings as there were lots than planned, I really want to improve the expressions of the people in here)

Anniversary not anniversary april

April 1st is the time where I created my ng account but didn't make anything special for it, 3 years since then but in the end I'm proud of where I am now, also I made a commission for my friend that it took me longer than expected, kind of amazing for my abilities but still need things to improve.

Pico vs zomaybies

For this month I made some small art, first for a pvz short by @VegaSlash and a pixelart for Picoday, grateful that @Atastic loved it!!!

Junese mythology

For this month I worked on two illustrations for a future illustration book my club is planning to compile (kind of a fanzine of fantasy concept) I really liked how my art improved with the feedback my friends did during the process.

Creative critter july

Cool month for me, I did a variety of drawings and pixelart, first for the bug collab hosted by @Frosty which one of my friends really liked and started doing art of it.

Some other art like me, me in tboi style and a Bolon, a typical food from my country (funny that someone bought the print of that).

Reverse august

For that month I decided to finish a lightning study with Ulu, one of the caracters from reverse 1999, I still need to improve my design and lightning skills xp

Freaktember

Sorry for that title but it's the truth, looking to my art that month I just drew a bunch of girls, first for the movie theater collab by @Ostan5000 , there's Lucy drinking soda.

Then I decided to be part on the first mario bros princess peach design redraw by respriting princess peach as I liked

and finally I drew a spicy Mega-Banette Gijinka for the soon to be posted newgrounds gijinka collab hosted by @KittyhawkMonrose

Wowtober

Maybe the month where I was most active, first with a drawing for the illustration book I told before during "Junese mythology" one of the works I'm most proud of for having such a beautiful color scheme.

I also did some small sketch drawings for the tweentober challenge hosted by my club, just the first 5 days cuz' university started getting heavy on assignments.

Finally I did a birthday gift for a special friend of mine, amphibia themed!!!

Near the end of the month my university did a paste up workshop where I participated pasting up some of the art I have been making during all my career, I invite you to find them all, there's also drawings I haven't posted yet like this one!!!

Dragon ballvember

That month I was pretty occupied with university assignments but I managed to do a special pixelart for the dragon ball collab, which is not published yet so I hope it gets in the movie.

but I also managed to finish a traditional celeste themed food drawing I did on a workshop hosted by my club.

Tankmas ADVENTure december

The last month of the year and it became one of the greatest of all thanks to @MrShmoods and @squidly for hosting the tankmas ADVENTure and letting me join for the festivity, I did some cool winter themed art for the 25th day, the gacha machine and the emote section.

I kind of repeated it like docen of times but I'm grateful that I managed to share something related to my country and hope I keep on doing that as I love where I live and it needs more recognition from time to time, like other artists I admire do as much.

Conclusion

Wow, looking back again I really did a good job, maybe at the first half not much, that's why I was hard on me but is for the sake of improving but the second half just surpasses my art from last year, I'm very proud of myself and I'm looking forward on improving the mental list I have for new illustrations I want to make but also I already made but it needs polishing to be published such as collabs and design projects.

I'm still trying to expand my social medias, I managed to do it so with instagram but just with people from my university, twitter is kind of lame but I'll still keep on posting from time to time just for the funnies I see, not planning to do a bluesky cuz' I think it will not get much attention either, I made a Behance account but it will be more focused on my portfolio as a designer, tho I want to be an illustrator so the content will be kind of same but more organized for the people who wants to hire me.

So what are my plans for the future?

Here's a list of what I'm planning to do for the next year:

• Start organizing more the storytelling of my illustrations focused on Lucy and Psyca
• Create an artist signature such as the design of the description of my posts
• Focus my drawings more on things from my country
• Improve the pose of my characters and also the ambience of the backgrounds
• Organize my behance and post design projects
• Try to get more in touch with newgrounds community
• Try to get one of my illustrations frontpaged xp
