Introduction

Woah how fast the new year is coming by, with lots of ups and downs in my life but very grateful on how everyone's been supporting my art with the years, 300 fans?!! that's a cool number I've never imagined to achieve and hope it gets higher each time I visit my page.

If you were wondering why so low the interaction with newgrounds comparing last year? that's because I started university and I've decided to become a proffessional with my art so I can live with it, sadly in my country the best social media for sharing art is Instagram so I'm trying to be more active there, BUT I'll never leave newgrounds mainly because I love the support this site has given me and people from my university club are encouraging me to keep helping on those lil' projects as well as theirs.

Now It's time to see everything I did this year so far!!!

January

I remember this month being unproductive as I've recently got a new tablet, graduating from school was also a big barrier to make art as I had to concentrate on life choices.

Also, looking again at my old human art just makes me wanna re-do all of my drawings as this year I've been working to improve on character design xp

February

This month I worked in lots of collabs and projects for next months so I just managed to publish a fanart for the picayune art contest.

March

This month I did a massive fanart about itazura madness, one of the best games I've played on this platform, and the creator liked it!!!

Also this was the month I started looking for improvements on my characters, starting with Psyca!!!

Finally, a lightning practice that for some reason friends and followers really liked.

April

Started the month by celebrating my account's second anniversary, another art I don't really like anymore so I hope next year I do something better xp

I consider this one of my best artworks using my old style, introducing two new ocs and a lot of nature, still aiming on doing full art like this but with my new style.

Again I kept on trying to improve character designs, this time with my first oc Lucy!!!

May

My first collab of the year was published!!! the Pico-Cross Collab 2023, I remember watching the brackenwood series so I decided to draw the popular Bitey and of course a fatsack.

I also made a really bad trivia which nobody managed or maybe even tried to solve for pico day xp, another topic to improve.

I made another drawing staring Lucy!!!

To end the month I participated in a dtiys just to experiment with my artstyle.

June

This is the month where I started to change a lot my art, mainly because I started university and more of my time spent was improving the basis, anatomy, perspective, creative design, etc. that's also why I didn't post a lot as usual.

I also joined an art club called "Tweening", something I really love until now as I managed to meet some cool artists where I live and still working with on amazing projects!!!

This one was an illustration for my club, especifically an art contest that I didn't know what happened at the end x-x

July

Another illustration for my club, spiderverse themed, this one is special as it's my first drawing with the new artstyle and I really like it!!!

Most of the time this month was spent on getting used to my university

September

This month is when I managed to succesfully redesign all of my characters, not anatomically accurate but something near that I like!!!

October

This month I designed another character that'll take part on that world I'm creating with my other oc's, this time a man as I've never designed one until then.

Two collabs were posted this month, the DAC collab and the creature collab, two collabs with some interesting history behind their productions as their organizers had some delays while creating them, but they finally got submited!!!

November

A gif edition of the coglab was posted this month...for some reason

There was another gallery in my club which I had a lot of fun doing involving Jack Kirby's works, with some art of mine being shown there!!!

Another collab was posted, the fishing collab, which nobody knew it was about to come out as their original organizer left newgrounds a year ago, but it finally came out!!!

Finally, I did another drawing which is one of my favorites this year, because of the colors, composition and comically theme I've decided to show.

December

My last collab was submitted, the gogo's collab, which gives me a lot of nostalgia, so glad I managed to participate in it!!!

My first traditional drawings were posted this month, I really liked how well this post was received, I'll try to make more in the future as I've become to like doing traditional art...but first I need an sketch book and some colors haha.

I've finally decided to participate in this secret santa event where I really enjoyed drawing my gift and also really liked my gift as well!!!

Finally, my last art of the year was posted today!!! in reality I forgot to publish it here as it have been days since my illustration was posted on instagram, sorry x-x

Well I think that's all from me, if for some reason a collab I've also worked on and should be posted this year comes out, I will make an update, until now...that's all :D

Conclusions and the future...

I think I've did all good with art improvement, specially with my artstyle and character designs, obviously there's things I need to improve and I'm looking forward next year to become better and better!!!

Newgrounds: I'll keep making art posts, helping on collabs and maybe talking with people; sadly I've been getting news that people I met here have left and I hope they are good where they chose to be, gotta admit that my interaction with this site have been low comparing to 2022 but no worries the content will always be here!!!

P.d. I'm also looking forward to getting a frontpage, but just time can tell when I can get one!!!

Instagram: It's now my main objective as most of artists from my country uses it, also I'm trying to get more recognition on bigger social medias, I know it's hard but If I want to live doing art I have to take risks so feel free to support me on this journey!!!

Art: With my improved artstyle I'm now aiming to do more complex art, something with backgrounds, people interacting with each other to tell a story and things like that, so let's keep looking forward, see you next year!!!

Introduction

Well, we are at the end of the year and I did a lot for newgrounds, with art, animations and games, so I think it is time to make a recap month by month looking at all I experienced and what to expect in the future with my newgrounds account.

January

When the year started I decided to show a random drawing of my oc Lucy who I haven't created a good story for her yet but I'm still thinking on it, as my art has been changing real fast it looks strange for me to see, so I think it is a good moment to show her doing something again in one of my drawings.

Pixel day was amazing and the second newgrounds event I participated, with a game collab called pixelgrounds hosted by @Pomegranite I managed to create some art for the picross puzzles and some of them went to my own art, the newgrounds book, which earned an incredible amount of visits!!!

To end this month I started a challenge made by @DoctorGrambo called messypaints challenge where I have to create a piece each month based on a theme, improving my skills from time to time, here's the art of that month.

February

On february I made a banner for @Balloonshroom to commemorate his first anniversary on newgrounds, which won the contest he made.

then I worked on the second drawing for the messypaints challenge.

March

I started this month by showing my art during the super raft boat art contest, it was interesting and the game kinda fun!!!

Then I finished my drawing of psyca, planned for october of the last year but I didn't managed to finish it until March because of school xp

The NGPR discord server got hacked and people started a collab of bad creepypastas so I decided to join on a gorey adventure to make a cursed bbt story with a drawing proving it is real!!!

Like always I finished the month by showing the messypaints challenge art of the month

April

I started the month by celebrating my first anniversary, yeah I created my account on april 1st because of a joke but then I fell in love with this website.

Then I made the 9th annual AIM contest promo art hosted by @Random-storykeeper I'm very happy to be part on the cover of an album!!!

Also I want to give a shout out to @Quarl for giving a great review to my artwork

After that, another collab game released, the trophy collab hosted by @Mabelma where I made five trophies and the art for the shelf.

During april fools, there was a dank tank art contest where I also participated because why not?

Also, @TomFulp made that event to show the new pfp borders, and after telling him that Plufmot was in the profile picture party banner twice, he put me in, now I'm part of newgrounds history!!!

You know how I end the month, yes, with the messypaints challenge art of the month and one of the bests.

May

May was short but I got my first drawing tablet which my best friend gave me so I decided to make more art!!!

June

For the first time in my life I decided to make a small animation, featured on the life and death of boe collab by @Graeme , it was good, so my next ones will be better I'm sure.

Then pico day started and I managed to help on another picross game collab!!! now by @Karlestonchew , with a green knight drawing from castle crashers.

Sadly there wasn't any messypaints challenge art for this month because of school and other projects.

July

I worked on a new design for Lucy but now I understand that I like to do more scenery than just characters so I will work on that in the future for my oc's.

August

This month started with art for @Party-Machine 's video "the search for the strange grenade launcher"

My birthday came and I decided to make a new pfp of me becoming a clown!!!

I helped on my first movie project, clocks of the BBS 2022 by @Little-Rena , where I made a pixelart gif of nyogoron clock.

I made more art, one for my brother and other for the cult of the lamb art contest, improving more and more my artstyle.

September

This month is special, I drew a cute cat for my best friend's birthday and for me it is the most rated of all my works so far so I'm happy with the results!!!

This drawing also was featured on the cute cat collab hosted by @taka

We will not forget the creature collab by @OneDude20 where I made my own creature!!!

October

I posted my last messypaints work, yeah I decided to stop working on them because of time, but this one went really good and Doctorgrambo liked it!!!

Eg is one of the last works made with my first drawing tablet and I really appreciate the result as it was something I really wanted to remake.

Another collab ant he last game of this year!!! now I made a face for the faces of 2022 collab by @Dungeonation

November

This month was dark as my first drawing tablet broke and I couldn't work on something rather than make an instagram account so please check it out (link) I will post more of my art soon!!!

December

On December I worked on some commisions I made during a school event experimenting with the vectors tools of my drawing program, I think it went well (?)

Finally my last project, an animation for the sketch collab by @midgetsausage this one was huge and I'm very happy to be in there showing how much I've improved with my animation.

Final thoughts and the future

This year was amazing, with lots of people I have worked with and made friends, participated on lots of epic collabs and working on my own art.

I want to make some shoutouts because without them, I wouldn't go so far.

So what are the plans for next year? well I got a new drawing setup so I'll keep working on my art!!! sadly January and maybe february I will not be so active as I'm near graduating and I'm trying to apply to a university so wish me all luck and I'll see you next year with more collabs, bigger art, and more of my oc's doing something.

I created an Instagram account

Yeah I opened a new social account to share my art to people from instagram, you can check it here, it will be mainly in spanish but english traduction will be in the description, make sure to follow me and check my last post with information about the account. I was about to create a twitter account but looking that the site is having some big changes I decided to make it later so don't worry about not having faster content from me xp

Where have I been?

Well I haven't posted any news in 5 months that's because I was involved in lots of projects that I will be promoting in the next pages to make a compilation in case someone wants to see the last thing I have done, I'm also near graduating highschool, doing university applications blah blah lots of things that are making me busy.

But there isn't any art of mine since October, well... recently my computer started to have some issues + my drawing tablet stopped working so I'm "taking a break from art" until I get a new setup to make art, but don't worry there's still two projects that will be posted by the end of this month I hope.

Future projects

As I said before, I'm waiting to get a new drawing setup to start making drawings again but until then I will start posting some of the best of my old content to my Instagram account, that way that account will not feel empty.

With this account there's still an animation that will be featured in the 2022 sketch collab and some small vector drawings I'm doing just to share some new skills.

Hello everyone, long time no see, I have been very busy lately with school and projects that I really didn't have time to even be active on the forums, but that wasn't an excuse to not share art or game content + celebrating Pico day this last month so here we are with my latest submissions!!!

Art

As some people now, I have been trying to change my style a bit, mostly the shading finding a way to merge with the base colors, next drawings will be better than these so you people just have to wait 'till I finish a piece, for the moment here there are the art of the month:

The Life and Death of Boe

Finally this small game came out without knowing it, but I'm really happy to be part of the making of this game with my first ever serious animation, go check it out it's the brush your teeth one, gonna say it's not the best but it's a great start for being my first animation :)

Pico-cross collab

So here is the game I helped to celebrate Pico day 2022!!! I'm really happy to be part of it by drawing green knight from castle crashers, gonna say that schoolwork really getting me busy and I didn't even have time to make a personal project for that special day so I'm grateful that this game saved me for having something really fast, go check it out!!!

My unknown future

Well that's really all the projects I have been helping until now, there's still some games that I'm a play tester and will come out soon so that's something, I'll try to focus on personal drawings improving my shading and character design so keep an eye with my oc's having a redesign.

For now my activity will be less as I have to still focus with school but expect good things in the future, take care everyone!!!

Omg guys I'm so grateful with all the love and support you guys gave me during all this time, I managed to work with such great pals and make lots of friends, and I'm also looking forward to do more of it to keep growing with my drawings, for now you can check my recent art from the last month:

Drawing tablet

Recently a friend of mine gifted me a drawing tablet, so I'll start making drawings on a better program, that means I can start improving a lot of my artistic skills with it, but I'm also a bit nervous as I'm not used to draw with these kind of things, the good side is that my friend will help me with getting used of it.

Activity changes

Well I'm gonna give the bad new (I guess so), as some people know I went again to school so sadly I won't be so much active with my drawings as I have to concentrate with learning, that doesn't mean I won't post any drawings but it will take me more time to finish one.

Hopefully this month I will have two drawings posted and I will focus on making art for Piconjo and Pico day, during that time I'll also work with some pals for a new game.

About the animation, it's done!!! we'll just have to wait a few months for it to be released on the game I was working ;)

1 year on newgrounds

Like said, my account is now 1 year old, how a lot happened during one year (lets ignore the fact that I just started being active on January) and I'm always thankful on how this community supports on what I like doing.

Yeah, drawing, sometimes playing videogames but you know the deal and here's a new drawing by me to commemorate the occasion:

I know, I know, my account created on April 1st but the NFT's joke made by Tom Fulp were really good that I decided to just start making jokes rather than preparing everything for that day (man people will think that my post is a joke or something), but well here to know the origins?

How it all started

Nah, I'm not a friday night funkin fan, even though I love some of the songs and played a bit I am not an entusiast of the game at all, all happened because of an ex-friend, who at the time was a freakin' fan of the game, showed me the site, at first I was like ha all the funnies are from here? I knew about the site already just because of tboi, castle crashers, alien hominid, bbt, Henry Stickmin and much more.

So I said, well time to give it a try, and everything was perfect, my objective at first was just being a gaming guy who collects medals, being the first game pico school because I saw it before on a video, my fault was that I played it on April 1st so you know the love conquers all joke game and I was like... damn that's not how I remember the game-

Days passed and I was just me playing games until I saw a news post by a dog (Jack) looking for artists for a game called Pico clicker, at the time I was thinking of becoming an artist on places like Instagram or twitter but those social medias were scary for me because of the horrible algorithm.

So I thought what if I start here, this doesn't look bad at all, and I created my first drawing, it got in the game and I was fascinated.

Time passes I wasn't such an expert so drawing was hard as I just draw with my finger, school at the time was also a pain in the ass so I had to be really inactive just by playing tboi even considering drawing as a waste of time at the moment (because of not knowing how to make my drawings good).

But then, it was December and people were enjoying the month, literally saw Tom Fulp making shoutouts to artists and giving away drawing tablets, the art collabs for the month, and lot happening it was such fun and felt guilty because of not making a lot by the time (the biggest thing was the responsability comic I made for a homework).

So you know by the start of the year I started on focusing only on drawings, improving, being active, working with others and making my life more productive, something that grew with more people knowing me, liking my art, I got scouted (thanks @s-zenmode I'm really grateful for it!!!), and lots of fun in life.

By the end we are here, near having 69 fans (nice!) *cough* I mean 100 fans and helping others with my big creativity.

What's next Phaox?

Most of my plans are coming to an end, so expect more of them to be published soon, for now I will focus on making my first animation, the one I told before in a new post, I know it will be hard but you won't know if you're going to do it good or bad if you don't try it!

I'm also waiting if I get selected on working for more important art but until now, just the animation, so knowing the work I'm going to make, there isn'tt going to be lot of new drawings, but don't worry I have lil things to fill my gallery that I haven't published + the next projects I already worked on.

50 fans!!!

Damn guys, I'm really happy on how far I've improved with my drawings and all the support each one of you gave me just to see my art, we are half from 100 people and I hope one day this account reach even further, but that's not the end, to commemorate this I made a small doodle of each of my fans in this drawing!!!

Kinda simple and rushed, sorry if it's not too detailed, I wanted to do something special while having other drawings and working planned in an schedule I have.

Well speaking of those things I'm working, I'll write some topics on this news post about it, so keep reading ahead to see what you're interested.

OC drawing

Yeah, I have oc's- I posted about one of them, Lucy, here but it didn't got lot of attention, well for two reasons I know:

1) I wasn't scouted that time

2) It's not the best of bests, the neck and face looks strange and the perspective is really bad

It was planned to be my first interaction with full body characters on December when I had some ideas + the creation of a comic my school asigned me to do, you can see the comic here, it's also not the best with body perspective but the colors are really good in my opinion.

So why I'm talking about this? it's to have some context about my next oc, Psyca, she also appeared on the comic but I wanted to make her a drawing with a background instead of a presentation, I love drawing backgrounds rather than characters so yep, it's looking really good what I have.

It's not finished but I'm looking forward to posting it next week with Psyca in it and adding the "Iconic" colors in lineart my most recent arts have, until now, there's only wait.

Game collab

If people don't know I'm participating on a collab with some of my drawings because I like doing that, for now I have references with madness and the drawing above (the cauldron if we're specific), hope everything goes well and people like it, I want to thanks @Mabelma for letting me in, I always wanted to be in a collab since December with the tankmas announcement I didn't participated because of time.

Beta tester?

Yeah, strange, I love playing games so it's another work I assume and treat with respect, giving feedback in things I can't help a lot (programming) always make me feel I'm helping with something, for now is something secret (?) so until the game releases I'm not going to show anything.

Creepy spaghetti collab

I'm not gonna miss it haha, I want to make something interesting I have in mind, this will be in work after I post the drawing about Psyca, until now I'll give a dumb clue about what I'm gonna draw "someone crying blood" cliché right?

Animation (the most risky thing I will do)

I don't have anything animated in my life, but I'm willing to start doing one for a collab I'm looking forward to help, but it's really really risky, I already have ideas but I don't know if it's going to be well, not having a drawing tablet it's the biggest problem as the animation is in flash, the other drawings are another problem, but I want to do it so working hard to do everything is my only option.

Outside the work

Remember about my last two drawings? (This one and this other) I don't like them a lot, that's because I drew them during my final evaluations, so that's why they look a bit off from the other ones which I put lot of more time because I was more free from school work.

Well, I finally end this school year until coming back in May (sadly) so noooo more homework I don't want to do and no more rushed drawings because of the lack of time.

That's also the reason why I have a lot of work planned to do on newgrounds rather than just posting random stuff I made, just hope to end everything during my vacations.

Extra

I finally bought castle crashers, ten out of ten, sadly I have little time to play it because of my drawings but it's ok, there's always time when I don't feel good to draw.
